A Young Female service-user with mental health challenges

This life journey map was made by a young female service-user whose mental health challenges were exacerbated by being away from her family to start a new life in the UK. Compared to the twistiness and doubling-back seen in some maps this illustration is carefully defined showing this person’s personal sense of commitment to their recovery. Their words “the flowers of the future stand in the seeds of today” reflect their love of the natural world and the way that their participation in their support group connected them to a sense of healing through nature.
