A middle-aged, female service-user currently experiencing anxiety and depression

This middle-aged, female service-user currently experiencing anxiety and depression was initially a quiet presence in the workshop, but brought the room to absolute silence when she narrated her life journey and read her poem. There was both a need for her to name and own her mental health issues, but also not to be solely defined by them. Her steady resolve and clear articulacy to destigmatise was inspirational and had a clear impact on the rest of the group.
