CVSU Community Response Friendship Dogs

Friendship Dogs

We can provide funded 1.5 hours sessions for individuals in either an indoor or outdoor setting following Government guidelines on COVID-19 safety. Our greyhounds will be brought to your location by our experienced handlers where participants will have the opportunity to spend time with the dogs.

Experience has shown that working with friendship dogs can help both the physical and mental wellbeing of people affected by loneliness, anxiety, depression, the recently bereaved, housebound, as well as those people living with dementia.

The service is available to Uttlesford residents who are lonely, isolated including those living with dementia. Even if you are just struggling with the COVID situation, our team can support and help rebuild confidence in going out.
