CAVS Family Mentoring Service

There's no guide book on being a parent or carer. Facing challenges on a daily basis is part of everyday life, but when they become overwhelming you may need a helping hand. You may be facing any of the follow and we are here to help:

Managing children's behaviour Relationships Routines Low level mental health concerns e.g. anxiety Bullying Bereavement Managing finances Isolation Employment support and training Domestic abuse Family changes ' e.g. new baby

The CAVS Family Mentoring Service provides a network of support to families with children aged between pre-birth and 19 years who live or attend school in Castle Point. Families are allocated an experienced, non-judgemental support worker or volunteer peer mentor, to work alongside them helping build on their strengths, whilst developing skills and resilience to help make positive and long lasting change.

There are a range of services available from one to one support in the home, bespoke parenting programmes and one to one mentoring. You can find out more about the groups we run on the click below.

If you would like to know more about what we offer please contact the CAVS Family Mentoring Service on 01268 214000 or email familymentoring@cavsorg.uk.

Why not volunteer for us? Part of the service is supported by volunteers. CAVS are reliant on the goodwill of our volunteers to support families and their children and young people. We also have volunteers working from our office and assisting with the administration of this service.
