Abberton Rural Training (ART) are an award winning charity providing rural skills education and training including mental health counselling and advocacy support. We have specialist groups for all types of people including SEND, Wounded and Injured Service Personnel & Veteran, domestic Violence , ethnic minorities & refugees, adults struggling with mental health, NEETS, Youth offenders and general adult groups. We work across Essex with 13 sites available and have short and long term courses and support options. We use nature and the environment as the basis including horticulture, countryside & environment, woodlands, land based studies, construction, carpentry, textiles and rural crafts all using recycled materials. We also work with councils and other partners with community gardens and schools projects. We also provide holiday activities for children in gardening and rural crafts for age 5+ with SEN and FSM.
